Happy Fathers Day

Dad Steve
Happy Fathers Day to all those daddys out there!  Today is a lil sad to me.  I lost my dad back in 09 and miss him terribly, but I still have my step dad that has been there thru everything that I have gone thru and dealt with.  I am truly blessed to have two fathers in my life.  My real father (steve) was a real hard working and worked 6 days a week and all most 12 hours a day or more.  Loved Nascar and football along with some basketball.  A Mopar guy at heart and always was working on them.  He had several different kinds of Roadrunners and different old classic cars.

As for my Step daddy (rick) he was the one that watched me grow up and was there all the time thru the thick and thin.  taught me a lot of things.  Taught me to fish and how to clean my fish as well.  How to drive a boat and helped me to swim.  He currently owns and runs a Magic Shop in Colon, MI.  That shop is sooo fun to be in.  So many neat and awesome things in it.  For as long as I can remember we would always go there for a week (Magic Week) and go to all the shows and watch the fireworks too.  It has always been a great past time and still is amazing to go to and experience.  Meeting people from all over the world and the country. =]

Well Fathers Day is coming up and I thought that the next few days I would recognize the fathers in my life.  I guess I will start off with my BF Stephen.  He is going to be a new father.  We are expecting our first child together.  For me it will be my third.
He is truly excited and nervous at the same time.  He has told me how much he has wanted to be a father and raise children.  I do believe that he will be a great father.  I think a little strict at times but a good one.  He has told me that he will not let Nadia(our unborn daughter) wear skirts.  hah.  He just doesnt understand.  I know that he will give in and get her a few.  Well she (Nadia) will be here September 16, but all of us moms know that they really never come on the date that they are suppose too.
Well a lil bit about Stephen.  He is 26.  He was born and raised here in Milwaukee and this is where I met him.  He works his butt off all the time and has had a job since he was 16.  He believes that the man works and the woman stays home.  (old fashion =] ) He can be a sweetheart and a stubborn mule, but aren't they always like that.  :]  He is really into NASCAR and used to race go karts when he was younger.  He is very "urban" (as he calls it).  Well that is just about all for now. :]

Ah Reminiscing

I was going thru my Myspace and Photobucket today and found a bunch of older photos of myself and Lilly with some friends and family.  It was awesome to go thru and look at them.
This is Lilly when she is a lil over a year old at the Lake cottage waving at her Grandpa out in the lake.
Me back in 2008 holding a Suicide Silence ticket that they signed.  Yes my hair was really pink lol

Our Sunday!

Today was a real good day.  Woke up in a good mood and with the sun shining thru my windows in the kitchen and bedroom.  I got up and made some Pancakes and made some coffee pretty early.  Stephen slept a lil longer then I did but got up at a decent time.  He ate and played some games then we went to the Theinsville, WI car show/festival.  It was a real nice place ontop of it being a gorgeous day.  The sun was shining and a little breeze.  The festival/car show was on the Milwaukee River there in Theinsville.

It was in the local park as well.  We took a walk along the "river walk" that hey had there.  It wasn't anywhere near finished but it was fun.  You could get down right by the river.  There were little small paths down to it.  We went down there and sat for a little bit.  Stephen even picked me a few daises and gave them to me and put one in my hair.  awwwww!

Well we left there and came home.  Stephen took me on a little cruise down Lake Park Dr that goes right by the lake thru the most expensive side of town.  Some of those houses there on the lake are over millions of dollars.  I couldn't believe it.  They were so gorgeous.  I wish one day we could afford a gorgeous house like one of those on the lake, but not in our near future.

We got home around 3:30 and I was bored so I started to pain Nadia's room.  I decided to make strips on one of the walls.  It was pretty easy to do and it came out real nice.  I think that I might do it on the other wall as well.  Now I am just waiting on Stephen to get me the rest of the paint and i can finish it all up in a few hours and get all the plastic up off the floor and get all the things in the room put in there that we have so far.  =]  Well lets hope that this next week will be a great one.  The weather is going to be real pretty and lets hope that my mood is as nice as the weather.  :)
Y'all have a great week!

Finally

The heat has finally broke and its in the 60s.  Perfect weather for doing things around the house and sleeping.  Last night was a rumbly one.  We got a lot of storms and they lasted for half the night.  It was pretty cool to look out the back door and in the sky you could see all the heat lightning before the storm came.  Every second there was a strike of lightning and was really pretty.  By the time the storm hit us it was about 9 30 at night.  Stephen went in the kitchen and sat at the table with the lights off and watched it storm for a little bit.  I think that he was really fascinated by it.  I told him that in Indiana that is a normal storm with the winds and thunder.  It was a good night.

We also went grocery shopping last night to Pick N save (local grocery store, kinda like Marsh)  and saved a lil over 80 bucks!  I was so excited with all that!  They double their coupons on Wednesday and Saturday and when we went yesterday they were doing the Double Double daze (which instead of only doubling 5 coupons they double 10)  WOOHOO!  I didnt know that and I planned out for only 5 coupons doubling and planned my list around the sales and the coupons i had.  I was so very excited about them doing that.  I think that we will go there from now on to shop.  We actually saved more there then we did at walmart and we still got our meats and meals for about two weeks.  =]
I still need to go back and get a few little things that we couldnt get because we didn't have room in our cart (if that tells you anything).  We had to have two carts to take the stuff out to the car and it was amazing.  I feel very proud!  =]

Heat Advisory and Record Breaking Heat...

It has been miserable the last few days and tomorrow isnt going to be any better.
I am miserable with being pregnant and dealing with a tiny a/c that barely keeps the living room cool but the bedroom a decent temp.  I know for a fact that I will never get pregnant again during the summer.  This is horrible.  Yes, I know that I am complaining and whining but I have never been this miserable during the summer before in my life.  I usually enjoy the hotness of the summer and usually get out in it to go to the pool.  Now whenever I get out in it I instantly start to sweat and can barely breathe.  It also does not help that we have no a/c in our car and Stephen isn't going to get it fixed either, (which i think is a bunch of bull since we are having a child and need it) so i sit here with fans going and trying to keep cool.
I did how ever go to the doctor yesterday afternoon for my 6 month check up and he said everything was looking good and that my blood pressure is good and my weight is good (which im at 150!!!!!!!!!) and I have only gained 14 lbs but man it took me awhile to get down to what I wanted to get down to before I got preg.  He also told me that it is mostly just water weight because its getting hot and I am starting to swell up.... great.  That's all I need is to swell up like a balloon and be hot.  Lovely.  Never again will I get pregnant during the summer.  As a matter of fact I dont think I will have anymore kids.  I am good with what I have and I do no want to go thru this anymore.  Im done.
I really wish I was at the cottage right now tho laying in the hammock and going swimming with everyone else.  Maybe getting a few rays of sunlight to get a lil brown and go fishing at dusk or at dawn.  I miss that a lot and want it back.
Shriner Lake at Dusk

Well I guess I'm going to go for now and get myself one of my Sugar Free Real Fruit Popsicle.  Hopefully I can stay cool enough...

Car Shows and the Weekend.

This past weekend Stephen and I went to the 1st annual US 41 Car Show/Cruze-In.  It was all up and down 27th street here on the southside of town.  They had a lot of different cars and hot rods.  A lot of the ones we have seen last year as well as some new ones that we didn't see last year at all the local car shows that they have here in the Milwaukee area.

We went and only saw a few cars because it was extremely hot that day with a high humidity.  I almost passed out just getting out of the car to head to the last half of the car show place, so left and came home and relaxed in the s/c the rest of the day.  On Sunday we really didn't do anything and it was so gorgeous outside.  I did get a lot of cleaning done around the place and found out that my sweeper broke and we need to get a new belt for it.  *sigh*  Like I have said before if its not one thing its another thing and its getting old very fast.

Well there was my weekend and I hope that everyone else had a wonderful weekend and a amazing week to come.
